About our French Beans

Tender enough to enjoy raw, or tastes great lightly steamed or stir-fried with butter and garlic.

French Beans are typically in season throughout the summer and through into late September or October.

At Forty Hall Farm, our beans are started from seed in late March/early April in the polytunnel. The harvest starts goes from mid to late Summer, and then they are cleared out to make way for our winter salads.

Once the beans are cleared out/stop producing, we source them from other local growers such as Fosket, in Suffolk, who may have a later crop.
