About our Pears
Autumn is here, and that's when UK-grown organic apples and pears are at their best. Pears are a trickier fruit to grow with a shorter season than apples, so grab a portion while you can!
Pears can be enjoyed so many ways - an on the go snack, jazzed up into a Poached Pear Dessert at your next dinner party, chopped up in a salad, or so many more ways! Each pear is unique, and flavours can range from rich and syrupy to tart and crunchy.
Did you know Forty Hall Farm has its very own orchard with over 120 fruit trees?
We grow pears, apples, plums, quinces and more.
You can visit the orchard on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am - 3pm, or join as a volunteer during harvest.
All the fruit we sell via the veg bag scheme is organic, sustainable, and grown as locally as we can source it.
