Autumn is here, and that's when UK-grown organic apples are at their best. We support small scale organic orchards in the south-east of England, and always try to source lesser-known varieties with a fantastic flavour - boost your bag with apples to keep your fruitbowl full!

Did you know the UK boasts 2000 varieties of apples? And there are 8000 varieties worldwide?
The apples in our veg bag scheme will vary in their varieties according to what's in season - the earliest apples in the bags tend to be Discovery Apples, which are distinguishable for their pinkish skin when bitten into. Other varieties you might find in the bags include Russets, Galas, Cox's, or others!
Why get your apples with us?
Supermarkets tend to offer a narrow selection of apples - and often use suppliers from overseas as far away as New Zealand.
You can be sure our apples will never have travelled using air miles, and more often than not will come from South-East England, as local as we can source.
Our apples are also all organic, so there have been no pesticides or preservatives used. They might be a bit smaller than a supermarket apple, but that doesn't mean they taste any worse...

Visit our Recipe Page for some inspiration on cooking with apples, such as a Ukrainian Leek Carrot and Apple Salad or Apple Chilli Jam.
